Carried out on a new or rewired installation before it is put into service. Without it the supply point will not be connected and the building will not pass its final approval.
Inspection and testing of electrical installations
Inspection and testing of designated electrical equipment under Slovak rules. We carry it out with our own inspection technicians (revízny technik). The output is an inspection report (revízna správa), which you need for building approval, for connecting a supply point and for your insurer.

An inspection report is not a note saying that somebody turned up. It contains the measured values, the list of defects and a clear statement on whether the installation is safe to operate.
If defects are found, we also write down what needs doing. We can clear them ourselves, or anyone else can. Once they are cleared, the condition is checked again.

When is an inspection of the installation required?
An initial inspection is carried out on a new or rewired installation before it is put into service. Without the report the supply point will not be connected and the building will not pass its final approval. During use the inspection is then repeated at set intervals.
How often is it repeated for a house, and how often for business premises?
The interval depends on the type of building and on the environment the installation sits in. Under Slovak rules an ordinary masonry family house is usually five years. In higher-risk spaces, such as damp premises or a workshop, the interval is shorter. The exact interval comes from the protocol determining external influences (protokol o určení vonkajších vplyvov) and we write it into the report.
What should I prepare before the inspection technician arrives?
Access to the board and to every room, the option to switch the supply off for the time needed, and any documentation you have. That means the wiring design, the previous inspection report and the protocol determining external influences. If you have none of it, that is not a problem, it only takes longer on site.
Will you issue a report for building approval?
Yes. The initial inspection report is one of the documents required for final building approval and for connecting the supply point to the distribution network.
What happens if the inspection finds a defect?
We write the defects into the report together with what needs doing. We can clear them ourselves, or anyone else can. Once they are cleared, the condition is checked again.
